Meet Bill!

Bill, a 25-year Reno resident, began playing guitar as a teenager. Devoted to the music of Clarence White– founder of modern flatpicking, and Tony Rice–who extended the style to include elements of jazz and swing music, Bill embodies that styling at it’s core.

He’s been the staring member of his bands Moonlight Hoodoo Review and Strange on the Range, both extremely popular in the region for many years.  Currently Bill plays and sings in the Reno Swing Set as well as the SugarPine Bluegrass Band.

With an associate’s degree in music from San Mateo Community College and years of professional musicianship, Bill enjoys teaching and inspiring his students and hopes to spawn a few more Clarence White fans if he has anything to say about it!
