Where Heritage, Tradition and community come together!

Concerts!

There’s a secret hide-away for music lovers tucked deep inside a little unassuming music shop.

Located 4,4oo feet above sea level, a smallish city called Reno (ˈriːnoʊ/ REE-noh) sits in the High Eastern Sierra foothills, in the Truckee River valley surrounded by pine treed majestic mountains on one side and wild horse, sage sprinkled hills on the other.  A relatively fertile high desert land, once home to the Paiute, Washoe and Western Shoshone Indians, now bustling with international business’s, miles of concrete, sprawling developments and jingling neon clad casinos, Reno has it all …

Including a special stage where Top Shelf artists come to play.

Made expressly for presenting Traditional and Folk music artists of merit and heritage value, concerts inside Heritage Hall command the admiration of music connoisseurs and culture enthusiasts alike.  Always an amazing experience!
Congratulations ~You’ve found the treasure!

Proudly presenting ~

Sara Milonovich brings her enigmatic smokey blend of fiddle artistry to the Parlor stage. A musician since age 4, hailing from Upstate New York, Sara’s unique mesmerizing style has placed her on stages world wide and alongside the likes of Richard Shindell, Pete Seeger, Eliza Gilkyson, and Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys, as well as a featured player in the recent smash Broadway musical Come From Away.

Winner of the 2023 Bluebird Golden Pick Contest and the 2022 Americana Artist of the Year by the Capital District Thomas Edison Music Awards, Sara delivers an aromatic harvest of original alt-Americana gems. Her latest album, ‘Northeast’, is packed with personal yet familiar scenes with thought provoking memories and melodies that both calm and linger.

Joining her onstage is long time partner, guitarist Greg Anderson, who has worked with a wide variety of artists in an even wider variety of musical genres, including Eileen Ivers, Richard Shindell, Cry Cry Cry, Cathie Ryan, Doctor Nerve, and The Klezmatics, among many others.

Sara often talks about growing up on a working farm, how that experience influenced her music and how she’d like nothing more than to be a kind of bridge between rural American and urban dwellers. “From Black Tie to Barndance”. With over 25 years of professional experience Sara is blessed to be among the last generations to learn that wonderful traditional fiddle music from the ‘older folks’ firsthand. From the grange halls and barn dances of the Adirondack mountains to the Irish pubs of NYC, she has fiddled her way around the world.   Her Up State New York style incorporates bluegrass, Americana and that fantastic Irish lilt we all love.  This amazing woman can even boast being on a grand tour of Europe as a US State Department Music Ambassador. WoW!
