The 2nd Sunday afternoon of each month, a-pickin’ and a-grinnin’ busts out on a porch of a historic bungalow at 735 S. Center St., between Cheney and Thoma streets. It’s an open bluegrass jam — running 3 to 7 p.m. for musicians who show up with banjos or mandos, fiddles or guit-fiddles, dobros or dulcimers, mouth harps or down-home instruments you’ve probably never heard of, such as bodhrans.
